DZXQ (1350 kHz Metro Manila) is an AM station owned and operated by Progressive Broadcasting Corporation in the Philippines. The station's studio is located at UNTV Building, #907 EDSA Barangay Philam, Quezon City, with its transmitter located at Brgy. Muzon, Malabon, Metro Manila.
DZXQ is a fully maintained blocktimer with fully occupied slots except for Sunday and the only blocktimer which has a textline. It is the first AM station with Chinese Dialects.
DZXQ is the home of Powerhouse Broadcasters such as Nar Pineda, Roger Arienda, Narissa Gonzalez, Ducky Paredes, Jhino Parrucho, Ruben Ilagan, Popo Villanueva, Roland Lumagbas, Dr. Erick San Juan and Reggie Vizmanos. It is also the home to An Affair with Baby Tsina, a lifestyle radio show.
As of February 28, it ceased its operations due to an unknown reason, after a new set of investors acquired DZXQ. Nar Pineda and Powerhouse Broadcasters moved to DWSS, while some Broadcasters moved to DWBL.
Recently, it was found out that the set of investors are associated with Daniel Razon, the chair/CEO of Progressive Broadcasting Corporation. He states that he'll be formally launching Radyo La Verdad 1350, UNTV’s radio arm Monday, on Jan. 16, 2012. His mission is “to bring back the glory of radio.”
